SF Congress Volunteer Agreement:
Mandatory Congress Orientation We gather all our Volunteers and Managers together for some final preparations, questions and answers, and to hand out the T-shirts! The Congress Orientation is the start of Congress for us, get ready here it comes! The Orientation always occurs at the Oakland Convention Center attached to the Oakland Marriott Citycenter Hotel, 1001 Broadway, Oakland, CA 94607 You will be receiving word about the time of the Orientation at a later date. Trainings Each area in Congress has differing amounts of training for Volunteers to get you up to speed, so that when Congress comes you are prepared and can enjoy being a Volunteer. Trainings vary from a short explanation of responsibilities, to a few hours of hands on experience. When you sign up for and area, the Manager of that area will contact you about the schedule for the training you need. SF CONGRESS GUIDELINES When you become a Volunteer you agree to enforce and abide by the General Rules and Regulations of the SF Salsa Congress. 1. Keep your Wristband on the whole time you plan on being at Congress. Wristband tampering is not tolerated. Volunteers are expected to report Attendees without wristbands to security. 2. All sales final, No Refunds. 3. Please be careful, SF Salsa Congress, PB&G and Albert Torres Productions are not responsible for Attendees, Volunteers or their belongings. 4. No Video Taping. 5. You also give your consent for any and all photos and videos taken to be used for any type of publicity or promotions that PB&G Productions and ATP sees fit. Being on Time for Your Shifts It's important that you show up 15 minutes early for your shift for two main reasons. The first is to be ready to go at the start of your shift, and the second is so that you can transition with the Volunteers of the shift that is just ending. The Volunteers who you are replacing have to wait until you show up to leave. So, please be courteous and be on time for them. If you are late or are going to miss a shift, you need to contact the Manager for that area within 24 hours. You will have to make up the time in order to fulfill your requirement if you are late or, you will be required to pay a late fee or a cancellation fee. Also, if you miss a shift, notice or not, you agree to pay the remaining balance of your congress pass.
